eternally chaotic

A technical problem has happened between the keyboard and the chair.  I recently discovered thanks to feedback from Tina, that our website videos were not working properly and were not viewable without being invited.  Well that certainly isn’t how its supposed to work.  Should YouTube know what I want and just do it for me in the first place.  Turns out I uploaded all but one of the videos we have published as private – meaning just that – we have to invite you to view or you can bugger off.  The problem has been corrected now and all the video from past posts should be visible.  Enjoy !!!

There is a lot of detail that goes into planning a wedding. There are a lot of people that go in and out of the loop or are just curious about how the planning process is going, what decisions are being made, what kind of this or how much of that, etc… Others are just nosy I wanted us to be able to use Eternally Chaotic to publish some of those bits.  However, with the anticipation of many updates to come I did not want wedding posts to overwhelm the other aspects of our family blog.  So without further ado I would like to introduce the “Our Wedding” section of our family website. Check back often as there is much more to come.

Princess Hell is no more.

The site has into evolved into something more grand – originally a place for tales about the girls – it is that and more now.  While there will certainly still be entries about the girls, there will also be entries about the boys, as well and Carol and I, perhaps Uno and maybe even some thought about all the stuff in between.

If the name wasn’t going to be Princess Hell anymore what should it be?  The dilemma of a domain name is not one easily solved.  Many names came from friends and family – some making fun, others serious.  Here are some of them:

• Chaotic Bliss . com

On theme stuck though once we started going through the recommendations – Chaos – Our lives are certainly that.  Now we just needed something to put before or after to make it whole – our life as a family isn’t just chaotic – it is special…more.  We tried hundreds of permutations with the variations on the word chaos.  Most didn’t make sense or were taken – chaoticbliss.com was $2,000 – no thanks.  Then I got a message from Carol one day, completely unrelated, that mentioned the word “eternally” and within a picosecond the name popped into my mind – eternallychaotic – and about another picosecond passed before I had checked the availability of the dot com domain and registered it.  Ok well maybe it took longer than that….but not much…and the delay was in godaddy’s response time – and thank the stars the name wasn’t already taken, thus eternallychaotic.com was born.

Missy mentioned a while back that it was possible to integrate our photos stored and managed at Flickr with a blog.  She did so on Facebook as well with a particular badge but wasn’t pleased with the results.  We have added a new plugin to Princess Hell to fully integrate the two.  In particular there is now a widget on the sidebar that shows a few random pictures from our photo sets as well as a new page that shows all of our public photo sets on Flickr.

We have wanted a place on the web where we can write about the girls and our life with them that is seperate from our personal more focused blogs.  Missy’s blog at yellowjeepgirl seemed to be a good fit at first but that is really her place for her and is not focused on either the girls or family but point in time snapshots of her life.  My blog daggersden was never really an option as the site is completely focused gaming and politics.
